Welcome to the
Piedmont NC Chapter
of the
American Guild of Organists
The Piedmont NC chapter, a merger of the Winston-Salem chapter and the Greater Greensboro chapter, serves organists, church musicians, and religious institutions in the Triad area of North Carolina. Membership comes from the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, and other surrounding communities. On a local level, the Piedmont NC chapter promotes collegiality among our membership, and strives to meet the goals as set out in the Mission Statement of the national organization as stated below.
The mission of the American Guild of Organists is to enrich lives through organ and choral music.
To achieve this, we:
Encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music;
Inspire, educate, and offer certification for organists and choral conductors;
Provide networking, fellowship, and mutual support;
Nurture future generations of organists;
Promote the organ in its historic and evolving roles; and
Engage wider audiences with organ and choral music.
